What it costs to fly a patient from Dhaka to Singapore

There are three ways to make this trip. The treating doctor’s advice decides which is safe; the price follows from that. All prices are one way, Dhaka to the Singapore hospital.

How much does an air ambulance from Dhaka to Singapore cost?

A dedicated air ambulance jet starts around BDT 45 lakh. A stretcher on a commercial flight starts around BDT 8.5 lakh, and a wheelchair with a medical escort around BDT 4 lakh. The final price depends on the patient’s condition, the aircraft and how soon you need to fly.

If the doctor agrees the patient can sit up, a wheelchair seat with a medical escort costs least. A stretcher on a commercial flight is the next step up. A private jet is only needed for critical patients.

A patient who can sit needs a normal seat plus an escort’s ticket. A stretcher takes the space of several seats, so the airline charges for all of them. We book this for you and include it in one price.

About 4 hours 15 minutes non-stop, over roughly 2,900 km. An air ambulance jet takes about 4½ to 6 hours, depending on the aircraft and whether it needs a fuel stop on the way.

Once the hospital accepts the patient and the visa is ready, a jet can usually leave within 48 to 72 hours. The visa is often the longest step, so start the paperwork early.

Yes. Bangladeshi passport holders, including patients and attendants, need a Singapore visa. It is applied for through authorised agents in Dhaka and normally takes at least 5 working days.

On a jet, a doctor and an ICU nurse travel with a ventilator, cardiac monitor, defibrillator and oxygen. Usually one or two family members can fly along too, depending on the aircraft. Each needs a passport and a Singapore visa.

Yes. We arrange the return to Bangladesh after treatment, with the same medical care on board and an ambulance to the hospital or home.
